Advances in Basic and Applied Sciences (ABAS) is the official publication of the Faculty of Science, Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt published by the Egyptian Academy of Science and Technology. ABAS is a Multidisciplinary open access Journal that publishes original research articles, reviews, mini-reviews, case reports, letters to the editor, and commentaries that describe and provide access to basic and applied scientific research. It contributes to open science and improves reproducibility by making all branches of basic and applied sciences and the associated research fields more discoverable, opening doors for collaboration, and reducing duplication of effort. The journal is interested in publishing research papers that provide sound and clear theoretical insights with practical implications for societal wellbeing. As per the title of the journal, it calls for papers on any field of science that challenges the traditional wisdom of the readers. The topics may include a wide range of research areas of basic and applied sciences including mathematics, physis, chemistry, computer science, material science, space science, applied biology, biochemistry, biological sciences, biophysics, cell biology, microbiology, information technology, biotechnology, geology, and environmental sciences.
